Gefco plans to expand business to Baltic Countries

Gefco Group launches new service concepts and locations in the Baltic States

The French transport logistics group Gefco is preparing to expand their commitment to the Baltic States, which was started at the beginning of 2009. “We are going to establish a weekly groupage cargo line between Milano and Riga in Latvia. Moreover we plan to open a representative office in Lithuania in the near future“, announces William Le Clere, Managing Director of the Baltic national company. Another initiative will be setting up a sea connection between Riga and China.

Gefco Baltic has created a solid basis in the business segment land transport (groupage cargo, part and full loads). With three weekly departures the national company delivers Skoda spare parts from the Czech Republic to authorised dealers in the Baltic States. Finish importers of the brands Peugeot and Citroën are supplied with automotive parts and components by the Vesoul–Helsinki line twice weekly. Moreover Gefco Baltic transports garments between Milan and Moscow on behalf of the Italian companies Miroglio and Promoda.
