FACC gives award to Ontime Logistics
Producer of aircraft components FACC from Ried im Innkreis honours commitment of the service supplier Ontime Logistics
Based in Salzburg, the global logistics service supplier Ontime Logistics was recently given the “Special Performance Award“ by the Upper Austrian producer of aircraft components FACC. Ontime Logisticsis in charge of just-in-time delivery of single components, which FACC needs for further processing. With this very same precision, Ontime delivers the finished components to Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier. „We act as an extended arm of our customers. In the case of FACC we get all order numbers one year in advance, thus we can agree on dates with suppliers around the globe via our stations abroad. We are continuously informing our customers and transport just-in-time, just when the products are needed for further processing. If deliveries from the suppliers are in advance or late we are informed about it, to be able to coordinate with the customers“, says Ontime Logistics manager Roland Schäffner. Ontime Logistics has been established in 2001 and has currently around 100 staff at the headquarters in Seekirchen am Wallersee (Salzburg) as well as at the sites in Linz, Vienna and Budapest. The service range covers activities in the segments airfreight, seafreight, express, temperature sensitive logistics and exclusive delivery.
