Gefco starts cooperation with Toyota in Russia

Logistics operator Gefco to provide storage service for Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUVs in Greater Moscow
 
The European logistics operator Gefco which is 75% owned by Russian Railways, has begun cooperating with Toyota in Russia and will provide warehousing for Land Cruiser Prado SUVs in Greater Moscow. Serial production of the Land Cruiser Prado at Sollers-Bussan in Vladivostok started at the end of February 2013. Initially, the production capacity is 1,000 units per month. The vehicles are aimed at customers in most regions of Russia and will be delivered in rail-car transporters to Gefco’s storage complex in the Domodedovo District of the Greater Moscow Region.
 
Domodedovo is Gefco’s second vehicle warehousing complex in the Moscow Region and its fifth in Russia. The complex was built in the framework of a project which was funded 100% by the company. Since its opening, Domodedovo has warehoused more than 20,000 vehicles.
