Geis Group takes over special packing company Georg Lechner

Georg Lechner GmbH is Geis Group’s new “packing unit”

After having successfully finalised a further company acquisition, as of now the Geis Group from Bad Neustadt (Germany) offers its customers a wider range of services. The globally acting provider of full service logistics solutions is to take over the packing enterprise Georg Lechner GmbH in Oberhaching near Munich with effect as of 1 August 2009. Both parties agreed to maintain silence upon the amount of the purchase price.

For more than 40 years Georg Lechner GmbH has been acting as partner for development and implementation of customised packing concepts for the high-tech and the export industry. Last year the enterprise has rendered packing and delivery services for around 200 customers. Besides to classical industrial products the specialists of Georg Lechner are also packing art objects, paintings and other delicate and climate-sensitive goods. The packaging services are effected in the house of Lechner or at the customer directly with mobile packing teams.
