Expansion of the Raben site in Nuremberg

Raben group broke ground for a new logistics terminal at the Port of Nuremberg:

With the recent turn of the first sod the Raben group started implementing a new project in Germany. The logistics enterprise active in Europe invests about EUR 18 million into the construction of a throughput and logistics facility on a total space of 48.000 m². The aim of this construction project is to expand the existing terminal of Raben Logistics Germany at the Port of Nuremberg. In total a 8,000 m² throughput area, a warehouse with about 25,000 pallet slots and offices will be built.

After completion the location will offer throughput capacity for 24,000 tons per month. The site in Nuremberg serves as a hub for Raben to carry out daily national and European-wide groupage and load traffic. Around 300 employees, including 20 apprentices, will be working at the new terminal. The Raben group has 8,000 employees in 10 countries. The family enterprise has a stable network of own terminals in Europe, 800,000 m² warehousing space and about 5,500 transport units.
