Geographical expansion of flatrack services with Samskip

Samskip includes eastern Europe into international flatrack networks

The Multimodal Container Logistics business unit of the Icelandic Samskip Group extends its flatrack service that has been operated for 30 years to new markets. As of now the “regular“ countries of the network – Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland – are joined by the new regions Italy, Spain, Norway, the Baltic States and parts of eastern Europe (in particular Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia).

Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics has a fleet of 500 flatracks. The units are suitable to forward steel products, machines, timber products and vehicles as well as to handle project shipments (e.g.: power stations, windmills, water tanks, yachts).
