Germamia flies nonstop from Munich to Iraq

Germania airline to serve the Iraq cities Erbil and Sulaymaniyah from early December

 

Known as a specialist for servicing destinations Germania airline expands its route network. As of early December the Iraq cities Erbil and Sulaymaniyah will be integrated into the flight schedule. Both stations will be approached once per week from Munich. The routes are marketed in cooperation with the Nuremberg-based travel operator Dokan Air. The new link from Bavaria’s capital to Erbil is the only nonstop-flight between these two cities.

The route to Erbil will be served on Wednesdays from 1 December 2010. Flight ST4890 will start at 8:40 p.m. from Munich and land at 2:40 a.m. the next day in the North Iraq metropolis. Erbil is an important location for fairs and conferences. From 6 December 2010 Germania serves Sulaymaniyah, the second-largest city of the region, on Mondays. The ST3514 flight is to leave Munich at 8:20 p.m. and reaches its destination Tuesday morning at 2:30 a.m.. Sulaymaniyah is known as an important economic centre and is one of the fastest growing cities of the country.

Established in 1979, Germania Fluggesellschaft mbH based at the Berlin-Tegel airport serves the three business segments leasing, charter and individual seats sale. The route network comprises currently more than 30 international destinations. The fleet comprises 15 jets of the Boeing 737 type, which are also operating for other airlines in wet-lease.
