GF Automotive Herzogenburg opts for Gefco Austria
Gefco Austria underlines its competence of complex supply chain solutions as transport logistics partner of Georg Fischer Automotive
With immediate effect Gefco Austria provides transport logistics to the Georg Fischer Automotive company at their site in Herzogenburg, Lower Austria. In the frame of this agreement the company manages transportations from its sites in Vienna and St. Valentin, and also uses employees on site.

“The use of our truck fleet guarantees capacity is available and provides the necessary flexibility to keep up the service also in case of ad hoc orders“, adds Michael Brandl, overland manager at Gefco Austria. According to him the transportations are retrieved, confirmed and processed via dedicated EDP interfaces, which allows to respond quickly to changes on short notice as well.
In Herzogenburg Georg Fischer manaufactures automotive parts. Lightmetal casting includes aluminium pressure die casting components for cars, trucks and industrial applications. The iron casting segment covers cast components made from nodular cast iron for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. These parts include crankshafts, camshafts, exhaust manifolds, brake carriers, and differential casings and rear-axle frames.
