Greiwing starts in-house logistics at its location in Burghausen

Greiwing logistics for you GmbH expands service range for its major customer Vinnolit
 
In terms of ensuring product quality of storage and dispatch of packed goods, Vinnolit GmbH & Co. KG counts on the services provided by Greiwing logistics for you GmbH, headquartered in Greven, Westphalia. The internationally acting logistics service provider is of now taking over the entire in-house logistics with ten employees at the production sites in Burghausen and Gendorf, Lower Bavaria, on behalf of the worldwide leading manufacturer of PVC specialities. In the coming ten years up to daily 900 tons of packed goods will be stored and dispatched.
 
The in-house logistics order awarded to Greiwing covers in the first line the storage management of packed PVC goods as well as taking the goods out of the warehouse and loading them. The powder is loaded as palletised bagged cargo or in big bags to trucks, wagons and in containers. Moreover the Greiwing team manages all pallet slots at both production sites at five warehouses.
 
For Greiwing this major order means an expansion of its service range: „This is the first time we take over the entire in-house logistics of packed goods of our customer with our own staff“, says Klaus Beckonert, Managing Director. So far the enterprise was specialising on full range solutions in silo logistics business. In addition to transport of free-flowing substances, this includes also handling goods in their own facilities such as the technical college for granules in Wesel or special cleanrooms in Duisburg and Worms. Moreover the enterprise sets up another logistics centre in Leipheim, Bavaria, where several value added services relating to food and non-food logistics will be offered.
