First direct service of Korean container shipping company Hanjin Shipping from Vietnam to Northern Europe

In completion to the transport services to the US West and East Coast, which were established last year, the South Korean container shipping company Hanjin Shipping is to launch the first direct service from Vietnam to Northern Europe on 17 October. “The integration of the port of Vung Tau into the schedule of the NE5 service (Asia North Europe Service 5) shortens the transit time from Vietnam to Europe from 23 to 19 days“, as the enterprise announces in a press release.

Hanjin Shipping’s NE5 service is operated with nine vessels of each 6,500 TEU, departing in a weekly rhythm from Asia to Europe and back. The port rotation is as follows: Gwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Yantian, Vung Tau, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Algeciras, Singapore and Kaohsiung.
