Heavy losses in trucking at Flughafen Wien
Flughafen Wien: Moderate decline in air freight volume in 2009 The air freight business in 2009 developed better than expected at the Vienna International Airport. With a total throughput of 254,006 tons of cargo, last year’s figure was missed by 5.2 per cent. Thus the Vienna Airport shows better figures than most other central European airports. The driving force of this development was the flown air freight. In this segment the cargo volume handled at the Vienna International Airport dropped only 0.8 per cent to 185,724 tons in the reference period compared on 2008.
