Helogistics: HELO 1 sets the course for new stations

Helogistics is taking preparations to service additional ports at the Lower Danube in the course of the HELO 1 scheduled container service

 

Helogistics Holding (Vienna) is about to add more stations on the Lower Danube to its scheduled container service HELO 1 from Constantza to Belgrade and Budapest v. v., which had been started in August 2010, providing weekly departures. Managing director Herfried Leitner presented the relevant plans at the "Constantza Port Day 2014" in the Abbey of Göttweig. Accordingly complementing stopovers in Giurgiu, Turnu Severin and Bratislava are to follow. Moreover servicing the Austrian stations Vienna, Krems and Enns is being considered.

Helogistics Holding, the parent company of Erste Donau-Dampfschiffahrts GmbH and Mahart Duna Cargo Kft., offers solutions for transport of raw materials as well as semi finished and finished products on the 3,500 kilometres-waterway between Rotterdam and the Black Sea. The business segment of dry goods shipping is dominated by agricultural products, raw material, semi finished products and containers; whereas tank shipping is focussing mineral oil products. The sites are situated in Vienns, Linz, Regensburg, Bratislava, Budapest, Izmail and Constanza. The total fleet consists of more than 250 units.
