Hitachi establishes Vietnam subsidiary
Hitachi Transport System’s (HTS) two subsidiary companies Hitachi Transport System (Asia) and Nisshin Transportation have established a joint venture with a Vietnamese partner.
The new company, Hitachi Transport System (Vietnam) will provide logistics services from its base in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi.
Since HTS established a Vietnamese representative office in February 2006, it has expanded its logistics business in the country with a focus on the apparel industry. In response to a growth in demand, the company has set up a national subsidiary to enhance logistics services for the apparel industry with services including freight forwarding, project cargo forwarding and warehousing.
In addition, the company aims to expand its road transport network from Vietnam to China to strengthen its global business.
