Hamburg-based logistics service provider Hoyer to expand its global network towards Middle East and Central Asia

Taking over the Turkish enterprise Aktifsped the internationally operating logistics service provider Hoyer adds another pillar to support its global network. Founded in 1996 the forwarding enterprise based in Gebze has become established as a specialist for national and international road transport and container trucking in the Turkish market. Aktifsped has currently about 70 employees and operates three branches in Istanbul, Konya and Adana. Günter-Friedrich Maas, Head of the Business Unit Chemilog Hoyer, and Ekin Tirmann from Aktifsped will act as equal managing directors of the company in the future.

Hoyer has been operating its own office in Istanbul for 15 years, from where they control the transportation of chemical products, food, liquefied gases and mineral oil. The takeover of Aktifsped shall strengthen their regional presence and upgrade it through additional geographic markets. More targets of this transaction are the expansion of the service portfolio and increasing their competitiveness. Hoyer’s fleet in Turkey grows by 40 own and 30 entrepreneurial trucks and 80 chassis for container sizes between 20 and 45 ft. The transaction increases also synergy potentials and the market share.
