Hoyer offers new service for IBC logistics

Hoyer’s web configurator gives customers access to customised solutions for Intermediate Bulk Containers

Hamburg logistics provider Hoyer has developed an innovative web configurator for Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs). Starting immediately, visitors to the company’s homepage can use a system resembling building blocks to put together small containers according to their own specifications.

The principle of the new configurator is to find the ideal stainless steel IBC for each product. The online tool lets users first choose whether food or chemicals will be transported in a common IBC type, or whether a special construction is required. Then, an overview of the chosen IBC’s technical data is shown to the user before the online tool lets him or her enter needed connections and relevant product information.

If the user decides to send a nonbinding request for further information, he or she will receive a list of the information submitted via e-mail before being contacted by HOYER’s IBC experts. “Because of the detailed information available to us, we can advise our clients in an even more targeted manner and make the ideal IBC available to them,” says Alessandro Sellaro, European Sales Manager IBC Logistics.

Hoyer has offered individual solutions focused on IBC logistics for 20 years – from renting, transporting, cleaning, maintaining and repairing containers to fleet management. The portfolio of the Hamburg logistics provider includes 22,000 IBCs which are used separately for food or chemical products. Depending on the contents, customers can make use of a variety of different small containers. Hoyer’s IBCs are outfitted with modern RFID technology. A mixing unit can be added by request.
