IMS places own trucks at its site in Bratislava

IMS Slovakia now offers “self-produced“ trucking; group adds two trucks to its fleet now counting 20 vehicles

The growing demand for national and international transport by road prompted the management of IMS Cargo Slovakia to get their own trucks. The commercial authorisation and the EU approval was granted on 27 March 2013. "We continue to rely on our strategy of self-production in order to provide the level of quality, that our customers rightly demand from us, during the entire transport chain." said Wolfgang Tomassovich, CEO of IMS and Jaroslav Dubjel, CEO of IMS Cargo Slovakia unison.

IMS is pursuing this strategy of self-production in the trucking segment since 2006. Meanwhile, the IMS-owned fleet exists of 20 trucks, as well as nearly 60 chassis, including tilting, multi, and sliderchassis. Own B3 chassis for all ADR classes are also available. Annually approximately 22,000 containers are transported, the majority in the local area around the locations in Vienna, Enns, Linz and Wolfurt.

IMS was established in 1993 as a private container operator. The full service provider has locations in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Switzerland. Together with worldwide partners the company provides services associated with combined transport. The container operator with headquarters in Vienna has currently about 70 employees generating turnover of EUR 46.3 million in 2012, handling a total volume of 147,000 TEU.
