Parcel service provider GLS Austria celebrates five years of Express-Parcel service in Austria
 
GLS Austria has recently delivered the 200,000th express parcel. Five years after having introduced the Express-Parcel service in Austria, the parcel service provider still registers double-digit volume growth, Klaus Schädle, Managing Director Europe South, GLS, is pleased about the success. “Volume in GLS’ express segment is growing above market average in Austria,“ reads a press release of the company.
 
The service provider handles Express-Parcel shipments within its parcel system. GLS guarantees delivery of express consignments throughout Austria before 5 pm. or earlier on the next working day – directly to the department addressed and the indicated contact person. “We deliver before 12 am. throughout Austria on demand, or even before 9 or 10 am. in many regions“, says Klaus Schädle. “Express delivery is also available on Saturdays – before 12 am. or 5 pm.“ Senders can book the express product online. Customers may trace their shipments online or via GLS Mobile App, and can receive a delivery note via e-mail on demand for free.
