Innofreight starts new major project in Germany

Zellstoff Stendal uses technology of Innofreight forwarding to transport wood chips

The Austrian rail logistics enterprise Innofreight attends to a new major customer from the cellulose industry. It is the Zellstoff Stendal company, who took over an unloading machine and the first WoodTainer XXL set on 22 July. “Thus the company has the most efficient system available in the market to forward wood chips on the railway“, the Innofreight Management announces in a press release.

In addition to the set that was just taken over, Zellstoff Stendal will put two more container block trains into service before the end of September. For 2011 they plan to expand their offering to five trains.

This major order from Germany expands the network of Innofreight container trains and unloading stations considerably. The enterprise operates currently about 50 block trains with WoodTainer XXL in Europe to transport wood chips and biomass every day.
