The airline achieved a result from operating activities of minus EUR 67 million in the first half-year of 2010. The Management attributes the increase of the total revenues from operating activities to EUR 1.02 billion in the first half-year of 2010 (2009: EUR 969.4 million) to their new market strategy. Austrian Airlines is striving to reduce its costs for the full-year 2010 by around EUR 250 million. The members of the Executive Board, Andreas Bierwirth and Peter Malanik, speaking in unison: “Our measures are taking effect. We are moving in the right direction, but we have not yet reached our goal. We cannot afford to let up now, and must continue to implement our restructuring programme as consistently as before.” Quelle: LogEastics |
