Insolvency of Lavanttaler Gütertrans – Lavanttaler Reisebüro GmbH
Increasing cost development in the transport industry and online competition from travel agencies force Lavanttaler Gütertrans to their knees
On November 11 the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets and liabilities of the Lavanttaler Gütertrans – Lavanttaler Reisebüro GmbH (Wolfsberg) were opened at the regional court Landesgericht Klagenfurt. The insolvency affects about 180 creditors and 28 employees. According to the association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870 assets amount to about EUR 760,000, while liabilities amount to EUR 1.91 million.
The indebted enterprise – operating a transport and coach company as well as a travel agency – says the insolvency was the result of an „increasing cost development, particularly in the transport industry, as well as slumps in turnover of the travel agency due to growing online competition in this segment“.
