Intercontainer Austria effective August 2011

Intercontainer Austria announces special charges for all transport services from Austria to Hamburg/Bremerhaven and return:

Taking regulating actions Intercontainer Austria wants to further improve its service on all relations from Austria to Hamburg/Bremerhaven and return. From 1 August 2011, 20 ft. containers with a total weight of more than 28 tons (including the container) will be charged with a heavy weight fee of EUR 50 on all relations. “Moreover we will charge EUR 50 for containers cancelled within 48 hours. However, this category does not include deferrals due to ship delays. This measure concerns only cancellations“, the enterprise explains in a press release.

Additional train services were fixed with rail partners, in particular for Salzburg, where bottlenecks and difficulties have occurred in the past weeks in export business. Due to the higher costs of one way-train services compared to scheduled rotations, Intercontainer Austria will charge an additional fee of EUR 12 per TEU that is exported, effective 1 August 2011.
