Intercontainer-Interfrigo launches new Austria products

ICF increases frequency and adds new products to Austria traffic

Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA (ICF) is extending the network for unaccompanied combined transport. The offer on the Germany-Austria-South Eastern Europe route is being expanded. Since recently a new connection is available between Germany and Sweden. At the same time this is a connection between the networks in Sweden and South Eastern Europe. “Thus we are optimising services for customers demanding liner services and European networks”, explained Jochen Weber, Head of Product Development and Product Management at ICF.

In Austrian traffic the company started a new connection from and to Herne in the Ruhr bassin. The blocktrain operates three times weekly in both directions. The “Austrolink” between Wels and Sopron offers three rotations per week since March 9, (previously one departure per week).

Another product innovation is the blocktrain connection started on March 16. It connects Cologne, Vienna (Hafen Freudenau), Sopron and the network in South Eastern Europe (Budapest, Koper, Skopje, Bucharest, Thessaloniki, Inoi, Istanbul) three times weekly. Since a few days an overnight service is available from Tuesday to Friday between Herne and Helsingborg in southern Sweden v.v..
