Iveco names new Irish distributor
Iveco has named Emerald Truck & Van as its new distributor for Ireland, in a bid to strengthen its market share and service capability there.
A subsidiary of Northern Ireland based Gaffer Group, Emerald has been an Iveco dealer for more than 30 years. It will now also be responsible for the sales and aftersales of the full range of Iveco vehicles for the North and the Republic.
The new deal sees Emerald replace sales franchise Truck Dealers International, which has represented Iveco in Ireland since 1993.
TDI previously used BOD Vehicle Support Services for all aftersales support, but Emerald has since acquired the trade and assets of BOD’s commercial vehicle business, and plans to invest £10 million in the new business.
“We have a longstanding and very successful relationship with Gaffer Group through NI Trucks and we are confident in the abilities of the management team to manage Iveco’s future sales, service and parts business in this key European market,“ said Iveco’s network director, Marco Leonardi.
