Jöbstl Arttrans & Umzüge GmbH (Graz) fell insolvent

Failed company takeover and retrospectively issued claims for the payment of charges became the downfall of the Graz-based forwarding company

Jöbstl Arttrans & Umzüge GmbH has applied for restructuring procedings in self-administration on 15 April at the regional court Landesgericht Graz, informs the Austrian association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870. Accordingly, the reasons for the insolvency are the failed company takeover of Gschwendt Umzugs GmbH and a liquidity burden resulting from retrospectively issued claims for charges.

Insolvency creditors shall be paid a rate of 30 per cent within two years from acception of the restructuring plan. The proposed restructuring plan shall be financed through the continuation of the business and from the disposal of fixed assets not used in ordinary business activities.

The corporate purpose of the debtor is the organization and implementation of transports of art and furniture as well as relocations. In addition, in some cases chauffeur activities are performed. The debtor company can look back on 80 years of experience in this industry.

Affected employees: 18

Affected creditors: about 55

Liabilities: about EUR 2.25 million with continued busienss (in case of liquidation about EUR 2.64 million)

Assets: about EUR 1.05 million with continued business ((in case of liquidation about EUR 0.79 million)
