Kam Air opens regular service from Vienna to Kabul

Afghan airline Kam Air to fly twice weekly to Vienna starting on 16 September

 

Vienna International Airport is about to win a new international flight connection. The Afghan airline Kam Air will operate a regular service from Kabul to Vienna and return with effect from 16 September. In the initial stage the schedule comprises two course pairs per week. The flights will start from Vienna on Thursdays and Sundays at 10:30 am. with their scheduled arrival in Kabul at 8 pm. local time, and will be operated with a Boeing 767.

Kam Air was established in 2003 as a private airline and operates as “Afghanistan’s Global Gateway“ under the IATA code RQ. The international route network offers regular services from Kabul to Dubai, Delhi, Islamabad, Teheran, Almaty, Dushanbe, Urumqi, Vienna and London-Gatwick. Large air freight consignments are transported with six freight-only machines of the following types: DC-8, Boeing 747-200F, IL-76 and Antnov AN26-B as well as MI-8/MI-17 helicopters with a maximum carrying capacity of 4 tons.
