Keswick Enterprises expands to Poland

Vector Global Logistics and Keswick Enterprises form new Polish logistics joint venture to extend CEE activities:

Keswick Enterprises, a UK-based private equity group, has formed a joint venture with Vector Global Logistics Sp. z.o.o., a shipping agency based in Gdynia, Poland. The aim of the new logistics company called Keswick Vector SCM Polska Sp. z.o.o. is to develop third-party supply chain management services in Poland. As for its owner structure, 52% of the shares are owned by Keswick Enterprises and 48% by Vector Global Logistics.

Keswick Vector SCM Polska will focus on developing warehousing and transport related supply chain management activities in Poland. Based on Vector’s local expertise and Keswick Enterprises‘ international logistics experience, they will mainly serve customers from the clothing & textiles, automotive, food & grocery, other FMCG and retail sectors.

The new company will start with an initial 6,000 m² warehousing area in Gdansk. Keswick Enterprises was created in 2004 and has long-established logistics operations in South East Europe (Romania). However, this is the company’s first venture in Poland. In 2011, the group employed some 1,600 people and generated revenues of over EUR 90 million. Vector Global Logistics is a privately owned company, which was established in Poland in the year 2000. Initially acting as liner agency for MOL (Mitsui OSK Lines), its principal activities include today international sea and air freight services with special expertise in refrigerated merchandise.
