Kollitsch Transporte slided into bankruptvcy

Cost explosion brought special transport enterprise Kollitsch from Völkermarkt to their knees

Austria’s road transportation branch posts another insolvency case. At the beginning of the month the bankruptcy proceedings about the assets of Kollitsch Transporte Gesellschaft m.b.H., based in Völkermarkt (Carinthia) were opened at the regional court Klagenfurt. The company specialises in the transportation of oversized freight. The insolvency affects 26 employees and about 50 creditors. The Austrian association for the protection of creditors KSV 1870 indicates the assets with EUR 701,160 and liabilities with EUR 1.057 million in a press release.

The insolvent debtor states the following reasons for the bankruptcy: The obtainable prices collapsed due to the declining demand for transport services. Fuel prices have doubled. Leasing rates that were too high lead to a cost explosion." According to the KSV 1870 an enforced compensation might be targeted.
