LGI Logistics Group International has a new owner

Willi Betz group sells LGI Logistics Group International to a private investor and a middle class fund

The LGI Logistics Group International GmbH is no longer a company of the Willi Betz group. The enterprise established in industrial contract logistics business, based in Böblingen, has new owners: Kajo Neukirchen GmbH and the middle class fund M Cap Finance Mittelstandsfonds. They make no statements about the purchase price and shares in their joint press release. The new owners of LGI intend to develop new industries and grow in Eastern Europe.

In 1995 LGI was formed as a joint venture of the central logistics unit of Hewlett Packard Germany and the transport logistics group Willi Betz. The enterprise then advanced to a 100% subsidiary of Willi Betz. The 2,100 employees generated a turnover at EUR 194 million in the 2010 financial year.

The main business of Logistics Group International is planning, implementation and organisation of logistic full range solutions from one source, focusing the following industries: automotive, electronics, industrial and health care. LGI operates a total of about 650,000 m² warehousing area and registers an average growth of 20 per cent per year. Their customers are among others Audi, Autoliv, Bosch, Festo, Hansa Metall, Hewlett-Packard, Kodak, Sysmex, Takata, TRW and ZF Lenksysteme.
