LINEA cargo railway renamed to Rail Cargo Italia

Rail Cargo Austria renames LINEA S.p.A. to consolidate its position in the Italian market:

The Italian company of the Rail Cargo Austria group has a new name with immediate effect. The previous company name LINEA S.p.A. was replaced by Rail Cargo Italia S.r.l. as of 12 January 2012. The renaming was carried out in line with the change from a stock company (S.p.A.) into a limited liability company (S.r.l.). “This change makes processes within Rail Cargo Italia easier and faster in the future. The service offer of LINEA will remain unchanged“, announces Rail Cargo Austria.

Rail Cargo Italia will cover a wide range of rail services for cargo transport and put its focus on customer orientation, quality, environmental protection and safety, as the enterprise states. “The new company name Rail Cargo Italia’ raises the recognition value with the subsidiary Rail Cargo Austria. The combination of own traction services, competence, reliability and service quality makes the company an important provider for our important market in northern Italy“, explains Andreas Fuchs CEO, RCA.

The RCA manager announced also the continuation of the consequent implementation of the turnaround project. This includes basic structural changes in the company and of the service portfolio, accompanied by streamlining the shareholder structure. According to Andreas Fuchs the target is to provide economically sustainable, future-oriented, high-quality and reliable transport services to customers.
