Logwin transports returned print products to Slovakia
Logwin operates reverse logistics for press wholesaler Valora Services Austria GmbH
The global logistics service provider Logwin has acquired a new customer from the media business. Logwin has been active at its site in Senec, Slovakia, for Valora Services Austria GmbH since October 2010. The Austrian press wholesaler with headquarters in Anif near Salzburg is supported with transportation services and processing of returned print products (Scanning and sorting). Valora Services Austria GmbH makes the print products available for collection in Vienna, and Logwin transports them to Senec in the west of Slovakia, situated 90 kilometers away. Unsold magazines and trading card sets that newsagents in eastern Austria have sent back as well as reprocessed goods, empty containers and waste materials such as cardboard and plastic are transported in the daily round trip between the Vienna location of Valora and Logwin’s 5.000 sq. m. warehouse. “We anticipate in excess of ten million returned print products per year“, explains Mario Aschbacher, Head of Sales and Key Account Management in the Logwin business segment Solutions. “The largest share of the returned goods is accounted for by magazines while trading card sets make up about one quarter.“ Quelle: LogEastics |
