Lufthansa Cargo shows moderate optimism about the development of air freight business in 2013. Dr. Andreas Otto, CEO product and sales of the company, presented to journalists Frankfurt expected growth in sales of services from and to Europe ranging from 2 to 3 per cent. According to his estimation the main drivers of this development will be China and the markets in Asia (except for Japan). As to the Euro-zone, the Lufthansa manager expects plus 0.1 per cent; in traffic with North America minus 3 per cent.
 
The integration of Austrian Lufthansa Cargo into the system alliance of Lufthansa Cargo will be completed according to plan. From 1 January 2013 the German freight airline will take over all shares from the Austrian sales company. Austrian Airlines is to withdraw from the shareholder circle.
