Major investment at Interporto Quadrante Europa (Verona)
Logistics centre Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona enlarged by 170 hectares area
Interporto Quadrante Europa in Verona in northern Italy has launched a major expansion program. With investments at the amount of EUR 150 million, the facilities are modernised and expanded. Until the end of this year the total area of the multimodal logistics centre will be enlarged from currently around 250 hectares to 420 hectares. Quadrante Europa is situated at the crossing of the Brenner route and the Milano-Verona motorway. Interporto serves as a hub for cargo transport from Italy to Austria and Germany and back. Last year around 20 million tons of goods were put through. About 30 per cent of the national combined transport in Italy is handled by Quadrante Europa.
