Militzer & Münch’s project logistics booming in Russia

Extreme heavy lift transport: ZAO Militzer & Münch brought technical equipment from the Czech Republic to Russian gas production sites:

Militzer & Münch, the internationally operating transport logistics company, is on a growth path with its project logistics in Russia. ZAO Militzer & Münch, the Russian country unit headquartered in Moscow, reports that, as compared to the 2010 figures, the project logistics business will account for more than 12 per cent of the total turnover this year – more than twice as much as last year. “We are a diversified company, and will further develop our project logistics segment over the next few years”, says Marina Dshegrij, Managing Director ZAO Militzer & Münch: “We’ve taken on additional experts for our projects department,” she adds.

ZAO Militzer & Münch recently did a heavy lift transport under extreme conditions: At temperatures of 40 C below zero, a specialist team brought technical equipment and machines from the Czech Republic to the natural gas production sites in the Yugra Region near Yekaterinburg, Russia, – through rough terrain, on time. The equipment was delivered from Italy across the Black Sea and through a Russian mountain range directly to the building site, where the cargo was unloaded with a 200-ton crane. Apart from the oil and gas sectors project logistics is also booming in other economic sectors like the automobile and steel industries, agriculture and wood processing.
