Minoan Lines improves Greek ferry traffic

“Cruise Europa“-ferry opens new opportunities to Minoan Lines

The Minoan Lines shipping company has entered a new era in ferry transport between Italy and Greece. Putting into operation the cruise ferry named “Cruise Europa“, the enterprise enlarges their offer for passengers and freight customers. At the same time the velocity of around 30 knots reduces the time of the passage to 21 hours.

"Cruise Europa“ will be operated on the daily served route from Ancona to Igoumenitsa and Patras. The vessel has a length of 225 metres, a width of 31 metres and offers 3,000 loading metres for trucks, mobile homes, coaches, busses and mini busses as well as capacities for 250 cars. Per departure 3,000 passengers can take place.“Cruise Europa“ was constructed at the Italian Fincantieri shipyard (Castellammare di Stabia).
