Bankruptcy case in Carinthia: Mistral Spedition GmbH slides into insolvency 20 years after the company was established
Austria’s market for transport and logistics services has registered a new case of insolvency. The forwarding company Mistral Spedition GmbH is no longer able to meet their debt obligations. Therefore the competent court in Klagenfurt has opened bankruptcy proceedings on May 5. Established in 1994 the limited liability company offered forwarding services and operates in the sea freight business. However, lately there has barely been business activity.
According to the presented statement of assets and liabilities, the latter amount to about EUR 198,000, including EUR 126,000 liabilities to banks. Suppliers’ claims amount to about EUR 67,000, and employees’ claims account for the rest.
The enterprise slid into insolvency as a result of problems arising in the context of a contractual partner, the creditors’ association Alpenländischer Kreditorenverband (AKV) informs in a letter. It should be expected that the debt will still increase due to claims of the public authorities. Assets include trade receivables of EUR 18,000, that are supposedly ceded to a financial institution.
