More van scrappage schemes unveiled

More van manufacturers are offering scrappage schemes to encourage operators to switch away from older diesel vehicles to those meeting Euro 6 standards.

Volkswagen
Volkswagen is offering incentives of £2,000 on pre Euro 5 Transporters and Crafters against new vehicles ordered before 31st December.

The incentives are on top of existing retail offers. This means that the £2,000 scrappage incentive on the new Crafter combines with the current retail offer to give a total saving of £4,000.

Renault
Renault is offering incentives of up to £7,000 on selected vans for vehicles registered before 31st December 2010.

It is offering up to £5,000 off the Renault Trafic, and up to £7,000 on the Renault Master.

Fiat
Fiat Professional is offering a saving of up to £13,500 off a new, low emission van from its commercial vehicle range in a scrappage scheme that runs until 30th September.

Vehicle offers include : up to £5,500 off a Fullback, up to £6,500 off a Fiorino, up to £8,500 against a Doblo, up to £10,500 off a Talento and up to £13,500 against a Ducato.

* Ford has already announced a scrappage scheme which offers incentives of up to £7,000 on some of its Transit models.
