Movianto builds largest warehouse for frozen storage pharmaceuticals in Europe

Movianto group is to start operating a new building with 13,000 m² storage space in Oss, Netherlands in April 2012:

The Movianto group, the logistics and transportation company specialised in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, is building a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Oss, Netherlands. The new warehouse will be operational by April 2012. It will provide a deep frozen storage area (-20 ºC) with a capacity for 350 pallets which can be used for storing blood plasma products, for example.

The 13,000 m², GDP-compliant warehouse encompasses 21,000 temperature controlled pallet places including 17,700 in the area of ambient (+15 ºC – +25 ºC), 2,200 chilled pallet locations (+2ºC – +8 ºC), and 1,100 pallets for narcotics. Moreover 1,300 m² are reserved for repackaging and relabelling services according to GMP guidelines. Completed with a cross docking area and bonded warehouse, the facility will serve as a European hub. Movianto manages also freight and distributes products to local warehouses throughout Europe.
