MSC increases freight rates for shipments from Europe to North America

After having announced increases in prices for container shipments between Europe and Asia, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company takes further steps of rate adjusting steps. In a press release the Geneva-based container shipping line announced a new increase of freight rates on the routes from Europe NWC (North-west continent) to U.S. (East-/West Coast and Gulf).

As from April 1, the shipment of a 20’-container will cost USD 160 more. Prices for 40’-units will be USD 200 higher. Marketing of the concerned services in Austria is managed by Mediterranean Shipping Company (Austria) GmbH in Vienna.
