Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) withdraws Lion service from Asia to Northern Europe
 
The Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) announces a cut on the Asia-Northern Europe-string. The withdrawal at the end of this month affects the Lion service covering the port rotation: Busan, Qingado, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Suezkanal, Sines, Le Havre, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Antwerpen, Suezkanal, Singapore, Chiwan, Busan. The service was operated with the container vessel MSC Katie.
 
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.(Geneva, Switzerland) is a privately owned shipping line, founded in 1970, which has rapidly grown from a small conventional ship operator to become one of the leading global shipping lines of the world. As of the end of January 2013, it was operating 442 container vessels with an intake capacity of 2.21 TEU.
