Müller – Die lila Logistik AG reinforces its international business model

The Management of Müller – Die lila Logistik AG (Besigheim/Germany) is reckoning with aggravated competitive and economic conditions in the financial year 2009. “On the short term increases in external costs due to increased tolls and declines in production of the automotive industry will have a negative impact on results of the subsidiaries. On the medium term however, investments implemented in the past shall have a positive impact on the development of the results”, as the company wrote in an outlook. On the whole the Management reckons with a positive operative result beneath last year’s level.

In the fiscal period 2008 the group generated a turnover of EUR 88.68 million and exceeded the figure of the previous year by 7.2 per cent. The group’s result rose from EUR 945,000 to EUR 3.875 million. The Logistics Operating segment, which is implementing logistics solutions, generated a turnover of EUR 83.3 million, and showed a substantial rise in results. The planning and consulting segment (Logistics Design) achieved a turnover of EUR 5.58 million. On the average Müller – Die lila Logistik AG employed 1,033 persons at 15 locations in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Poland and Slovakia in 2008.
