Truck24 changes name into Cybit GmbH

British telematics group Cybit: Stronger integration of their German subsidiary Truck24

In the German market for telematics solutions a new provider was born at the beginning of this week. Renaming the company into Cybit GmbH, the provider of integrated telematics solutions who has previously been acting under the name Truck 24, underlines its affiliation to the British parent company Cybit Limited. Truck24 was acquired by Cybit in April 2008 and has so far benefited from significant investments into the support infrastructure.

Cybit is a globally acting telematics group held by Francisco Partners, one of the world’s biggest investment companies focussing investments into technology. Structure and strategy of the broadly positioned group offer a combination of international strength and local presence, which meet the different expectations of large organisations that are active in many countries, just as well as the ones of regional fleet operators. The customers circle counts more than 2,200 B2B companies and internationally reputable enterprises like Ford, Carlsberg, Coca Cola, Volvo and DHL. In Germany the group attends to companies like Siepmann, Ziegler, Ewerhardt and Breger.

Cybit offers software platforms that meet the individual requirements of the transport and logistics industry as well as companies with mobile service fleets. Both solutions are supported by consulting services, with a view to integrated fleet telematics.
