Müller Transporte entered fresh milk logistics with NÖM

Cold logistician Müller Transporte invests almost EUR 1 million into its new business area fresh milk logistics

Müller Transporte, a specialist for temperature controlled transport of food, entered the business segment of fresh milk logistics as of the beginning of this month. NÖM AG, one of Austria’s major dairies, is the first customer of the transport company based in Wiener Neudorf. Every day more than 100,000 litres of GMO-free and organic milk is delivered directly from farms in the west and southeast of Lower Austria on the usual routes to the NÖM dairy in Baden. Each vehicle calls about 60 farms.

To be able to handle the challenges of fresh milk transport, the logistics company invests a total of almost EUR 1 million into its new business segment, recruits 12 employees and adds four tank trailers to its fleet. The logistics enterprise plans to expand the area of fresh milk logistics in the future.

Müller Transporte GmbH based in Wiener Neudorf (Lower Austria) was established in 1959 and has currently about 200 modern refrigerated semi-trailers. At their four sites in Austria and neighbouring countries they employ 390 persons. Müller Transporte counts among the strongest logistics service providers for temperature-controlled transportations in Central Europe and operates its own cool and ambient warehouses.
