Nagel Hungaria proves experienced also in wine logistics

Specialist for temperature-ranged food logistics Nagel Hungária carried 200 cartons of wine to the ProWein trade fair in Düsseldorf

This year Nagel Hungaria has proved its performance once again as logistics provider for the wines Tokajer, Erlauer Stierblut and Balaton. The company managed the professional transport of the fine Hungarian wines to the international trade fair ProWein in Düsseldorf.

The food logistician supplied more than half of the Hungarian exhibitors at the event of the wine and spirits industry, taking place from March 23to 25.18 customers of Nagel used the service and had delivered 200 cartons of wine from Hungary, weighing more than 1.5 tonnes in total.

Nagel Hungária had already taken over the logistics for Hungarian wines to the ProWein trade fair in 2012 and 2013. “We are specialising on the requirements of wine logistics. Thus in case of orders from several wine producers or retailers, delivering only small amounts throughout Europe, we can joint the shipments at our warehouse and delivery them through our network“, says Barna Tóth, forwarding manager of the company.

The food logistician is also a partner of the Agricultural Marketing Centre (AMC) – Hungarian Tourism Plc. The non-profit organisation supports Hungarian exhibitors at the ProWein trade fair and aims to promote sales of Hungarian products abroad. Apart from vine growing countries Italy, France and Spain, Hungary counts among the rediscovered wine nations.

In Hungary, the Nagel group (Versmold) is represented by Nagel Hungária. The Hungarian branch was founded in 2004 and is located in a modern logistics park in Gyal near Budapest, close to the transport axis M5/E75. In addition to wine logistics the company provides temperature controlled food logistics to its customers in Hungary and abroad.
