New “capitain“ of Imperial Reederei GmbH

Imperial Reederei: Carsten Taucke succeeds Karl-Heinz Bellmer as CEO

 

The planned personnel change in the management level of the Imperial Reederei group (Duisburg) becomes effective from 1 July 2011. The river shipping company appointed Carsten Taucke (45) as successor of the leaving Chairman of the Imperial Reederei GmbH management, Karl-Heinz Bellmer (66).

Taucke has been a member of the Imperial Reederei GmbH management since 1 September 2010, and in charge of the expansion of international river shipping activities. He was previously holding the function of Chairman operations at the Fiege logistics company. Taucke will also assume Bellmer’s previous tasks as Chairman shipping company in the management of Imperial Logistics International GmbH.

The 21 operative companies of the Imperial Reederei group transport around 50 million tons of dry and liquid goods on European waterways and short sea routes per year. About 600 river vessels are available therefore. Geographically the companies are positioned at all places important for the river shipping business.
