New CCG-Trieste rail shuttle by MSC Austria

At the Cargo Center Graz (CCG), a new intermodal connection will be launched in the direction of the southern ports by November. Frederik Wexel, Managing Director MSC Austria GmbH, announced the introduction of a rail service on the route between Cargo Center Graz and Trieste, at the Power Day Transport Management of the logistics association Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL). Initially, one weekly round trip will be available. In the medium term, additional services are planned to be added.

The new service supports the efforts of the Cargo Center Graz to build high-frequency railway shuttle services to the ports of the northern Adriatic Sea. Today, one to two daily block trains depart the Graz South Terminal, heading for the port of Koper. In the future, there will be two daily rail connections to the southern ports, CCG’s CEO Christian Steindl announced at the VNL event.
