New CEO and Country Manager at DHL Express in Austria

Neo-manager Ralf Schweighöfer shall further enhance strengths of DHL Express Austria in time-defined express business

 

DHL Express has put he management of its business in Austria into new hands. As of 1 January 2011 Ralf Schweighöfer holds the function of CEO and Country Manager. The 44-year-old Diplom-Verwaltungswirt succeeds Wolfgang P. Albeck, Managing Director DHL Express Area Germany/Alps, who held the position of CEO/CM since mid 2009 and who will remain a member of the management in Austria.

“We want to boost our strengths in time-defined express business in Austria in 2011 again and pull up. Ralf Schweighöfer will be able to fully concentrate on market requirements of domestic customers in national and international express freight business”, Wolfgang P. Albeck explains the motive for the change in the management.

Ralf Schweighöfer has 23 years of professional experience in several departments of Deutsche Post DHL. He has been active in Austria for about a year now. He has been in charge of the strategic project „WieNeu“, which will join the so far separated terminals Guntramsdorf and Vienna at one location in Guntramsdorf as of May 2011. This step marks the biggest investment project of DHL Express at the Austrian headquarters until now. With regard to international just-in-time express business Schweighöfer wants to recommend to customers and business partners – stronger than before – the according to his estimate unique pro-active service before, during and after the transport of express consignments.
