New equipment for the Buss Group’s multi purpose-terminal in Eemshaven

Orange Blue Terminal in the Dutch port Eemshaven offers now a mobile port crane for heavy and project cargo:

The Hamburg-based Buss Group’s Orange Blue Terminal in the Dutch port Eemshaven has now been equipped with a new mobile port crane. The LHM 600 of Liebherr marks a milestone in the expansion of the terminal as a multi purpose location. The crane, which can lift a maximum wieght of 208 tons and pieces of a maximum length of 58 metres, is particularly designed for handling heavy and project cargo as well as container, general and bulk cargo.

“Installing the LHM 600 the Buss Group emphasises the potential of Eemshavens, which is particularly available in the offshore segment“, says Marc-Oliver Hauswald, managing director Orange Blue Terminals B.V. „The mobile port crane is able to meet the specific requirements of the offshore industry as well as to handle throughput of various kinds of cargo of other industries,“ he adds.

Orange Blue Terminal B.V. operates a 260 metres quay in Eemshaven, which is due to be extended to 630 metres in 2012. The terminal equipment, the geographical location and a maximum draught of 14 metres enable the new terminal to handle all kinds of goods.
