New managing director at Panalpina Österreich
Robert Brugger took over management of Panalpina Welttransport GmbH (Vienna) with effect from 1 October 2010 A personnel change has taken place at the management level of Panalpina-Welttransport GmbH (Vienna). Robert Brugger succeeded Rolf Hauer as Managing Director on 1 October 2010. Moreover he assumed the function of Area Manager Eastern Europe. The experienced forwarder was lately holding the position of Area Manager Marketing & Sales Eastern Europe. As Manager at Panalpina Rolf Hauer will be in charge of global special business activities in the fields of engineering and projects. The Panalpina group is a worldwide leading provider of transport and logistics services. The enterprise concentrates on continuous supply chain management solutions as well as intercontinental air and sea freight transportations. The company’s own network comprises around 500 own business stations in more than 80 countries with 13,500 employees, including almost 300 employees at the Austrian locations in Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg, Innbruck and Höchst. There are partnerships in another 80 countries. In the annual report 2009 the Panalpina group shows a net profit at the amount of CHF 5.96 billion.
