New name for Italian subsidiary of Express-Interfracht forwarding
Express Interfracht Italia s.r.l. wants to offer the European market new and alternative ways of rail transportation
The Express Italia S.r.l. forwarding company with its headquarters in Milan was renamed Express-Interfracht Italia S.r.l. with effect from 1 March 2011. The enterprise specialises in the transportation of all types of goods by rail – on all transportation links. The management’s aim is to offer the European market new and alternative ways of rail transportation characterised by specific advantages. In addition to the logistics branches in Santo Stino di Livenza and Desio, Express-Interfracht Italia has also branches in Russia and Kazakhstan. In the bonded and high-rack warehouse in Santo Stino di Livenza, handling, storage, pre- and onward carriage with trucks and customs clearance of raw materials, finished goods, semi-finished goods, steel and forestry products is carried out by means of forklift trucks and cranes on a total area of 130,000 m² (of which, 48,000 m² hall space). The warehouse disposes of 3,000 metres railway sidings and six docking points. It offers services for contract logistics and distribution. The 48,000 m² block storage warehouse in Desio is suited for the storage of coils, sheet metal plates, tubes, paper rolls and pallets and pallet materials.
