New orders for Panopa in Hungary

Panopa Logistik Magyar is awarded two more orders from the automotive industry; extensive transport and logistics tasks to be fulfilled at the site in Györ
 
The German logistics enterprise Panopa is expanding its activities in East Europe in the form of new orders from a German car manufacturer at the site in Györ, Hungary, reports the logistics provider in a press release. Panopa Logistik Magyar Kft. is to perform extensive transport and logistics tasks on behalf of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) including the operation of a 60,000 m² warehouse, order picking, handling of empties and shuttles. In addition the Hungarian organisation of the Panopa group also manages empties at the car manufacturer’s engine plant.
 
“From the warehouse we ensure precise delivery of the components by our own trucks to the assembly lines of the automobile plant seven kilometres away,” says Rémy Hoeffler, Managing Director of Panopa Logistik Magyar. The company shall start full-scale operation in February 2014. In full-scale operation the managing director expects a volume of several thousand large and small load carriers to be handled per day at the logistics centre. 
 
Panopa Logistik GmbH is headquartered in Duisburg and offers customer-oriented logistics services along the supply chain. The services range from procurement logistics and warehouse management to sequencing, preassembly, production supply and spare parts logistics. The contract logistics provider is a 100 per cent subsidiary of the international corporation Imperial Logistics International B.V. & Co. KG and achieves annual sales of more than EUR 400 million with about 4,000 employees at 67 locations worldwide.
